Get real and be mindful

There are times that we wanted to buy things and we want it so bad. We want to have it and we were drawn to look for it, searching for info on the things and dig all the details on the subject.

In the right mind and heart, we know that we need to justified why do we want the thing. Sometime our impulse got into us and we buy things without thinking or reconsidering all the justification.

In this global pandemic, all of us affected. It is better to be reserved than impulsive. When we want to have something, it is better to be mindful in spending, always aware of your resources. The pandemic might take longer than you expect to recover. Be alert of your surrounding, community and economy.

Embrace the reality that we are all in at the moment. Whether at the moment you are affected or not, the community, the state, the country, the region and finally the whole Earth are affected in a large scale. Much or less, all of us will be affected in the chain effect of the global economy.

A simple example, in the year 2019, my household regular spending on grocery will be around 200 to 300 per month. In 2020, it increase to 300 - 400, and recently this year it was 500 - 700. This was only regular grocery items (dry n wet food, cleaning & toiletries), not included milk for my children or other household item. So grocery items has significantly increase in price, though we may not realize as it was being gradually increased (e.g a pack of pokchoy vege back then was rm2.00, now rm2.50).

Whether single or with family, do be careful in spending at the moment, if you have surplus, try to help those in need. Be mindful and avoid impulse buying.
